Student Chapter Election + Boba @ Twinkle Tea (October 1, 2023)

We will be holding an election to decide the student chapter officers for the upcoming year. The election will be held on Sunday October 1, 2023, 2pm-3pm in Moore B280. Nominations for officer roles can be submitted here: https://forms.gle/5Taa5RWM29wbApny9. Our student chapter by-laws can be found on our website. Note that you must have an active Optica student membership to be eligible for nomination (not sure if you have one? check by logging into here https://www.optica.org/home/). 

Although we do not require Optica student membership to participate in our club events, having Optica student membership greatly helps us in securing more funding from Optica. To ensure the uninterrupted supply of free food at our events, please consider joining or renewing your Optica student membership! It only costs $20/year for students (or $54 for 3 years) and provides great benefits for anyone doing optics & photonics. You can probably urge your adviser to pay for your membership as an academic expense related to your research. Optica student membership also provides huge discounts for popular optics conferences such as CLEO and FiO, which is well worth the cost of student membership to your adviser.
