Optics & Photonics Seminar Series (February 2, 2023)

We're excited to introduce our Optics & Photonics Seminar Series that will be starting in February. Each month we will invite a speaker from the optics/photonics industry or academia to give a seminar about their research, products being developed at their company, their career path, perspectives on photonics industry and entrepreneurship, career opportunities, and experience with Optica. Seminars will be 30-45 minutes long followed by Q&A.

The first seminar will be delivered in collaboration with the Electrical Engineering Local Student Council (EE LSC). Our first speaker will be Dr. Saman Jahani who was a former postdoc in Marandi group at Caltech and is now working at ASML. Saman will be giving the seminar virtually, but we invite members to come join us in Moore B280 at noon Feb 2 to watch the seminar together and enjoy some FREE LUNCH.
